CANDIED SWEET POTATOES
Ingredients
1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
3 Tbsp. water
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Chef Series™ Cinnamon Vanilla Spice Blend
6 medium sweet potato (or yams, about 2 lb.)
Directions
1. Place sweet potatoes in Chef Series™ 2-1/2-Qt. saucepan and add enough water just to cover potatoes. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until tender; drain. When potatoes are cool enough to handle, slip off skins; cut potatoes into 1/2-inch slices.
2. Heat brown sugar, butter, 3 Tbsp. water, salt and spice blend in Chef Series™ 9-1/2" Skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Add potato pieces. Gently stir until glazed and hot.
