I just completed my third show tonight and I have played the smidget game at each show. Although I love the game, I am having some trouble with it. I find that my guests tend to open the smidgets without really thinking of the implications of having to host their own shows. I've had several hostesses play the game and have to date with me again. Additionally, tonight I had a lady open it, find out she had to host a show, and give it back to me saying she didn't really want to host a show. A lot of times, I think they want to play just so they can pick a gift from my "gift box".

Don't get me wrong...I love datings! However, Tupperware is a part-time endeavor for me and I work full time outside of the home. I only strive to do 2-3 shows a month at this point.

Any advice? Should I stop playing the smidget game? Any ideas/advice would be appreciated!

:thanks2

Before you start the Smidget game. Do you tell them this game is for gamblers. Some of the smidgets have gifts inside, some have date a party. When you pick your smidget I will give you what it says inside & if you pick hold a party then we set a date to hold a party.
When they agree, then they can play.
maybe you can detail the game for the new consultants.

Here's how I learned to do the smidget game. I have a Tupperware container with 20 small items in them (smidgets, keychains, etc). Inside of each container is a piece of paper with the following information:
5 of them say, "Keep me (the smidget) and $200 Tupperbucks for the auction"
5 of them say, "Keep me and $500 Tupperbucks"
10 of them say, "Keep me, $1000 Tupperbucks, pick a prize (out of my prize box), and date a party!"

Guests have the OPTION to play. If they open it, they have to do what it says. I get a TON of datings this way.

My only difficulty with it is getting people to understand the commitment of dating a show with me. Hope the game helps those who had never heard of it. I like the line about, "This game is for gamblers!" I guess with some of these more rambunctious parties, I will have to explain the whole game before I allow them to pick smidgets!

Thanks again for the advice!

If your not doing an Auction Party you can put other prizes in the Smidgets.
I don't use key chains for this game. I only give Keychains to whoever I date.
You can do whatever you like.
5 smidgets say Free shipping
5 " say 5% off your product total
5 " say pick a gift from my gadget bowl
5 " say congratulations you won me. Let's pick a date
Depending how many guests are at the party. If you have 8 guests you have to cut down on the smidgets always make them even. Have 2 more smidgets than guests.
Hope this helps

Ive never heard of the smidget game. what do they do with the tupperbucks? and if isnt an auction, how do you determine who gets to use their discount? I surely dont want to pay for all shipping on 10 orders.
