Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix in a container
this would be great in the modular mate oval 2
or the spaghetti dispenser
you could make a double batch in the square 2
Children have alot of fun helping make these type of gifts :)

Use chocolate chips or other baking chips or small candies. the holiday m&m's are really festive
INGREDIENTS:

1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
PREPARATION:

Mix salt and baking soda with flour.
Then layer ingredients in container in any order.
tie with a ribbon, if desired or netting

To the ribbon

attach a card with the following recipe and instructions:

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookie mix in a container
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat butter in a medium bowl until fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla. stir cookie mix into creamed mixture until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies

this would be neat to add a silicone wonder mat to also

Recipe Cards you can print out to give with this as a gift :)

These are fun for students to give to teachers, you can use for co workers, etc.
Very fun to make and personalize

Has anyone tried this recipe? I am planning to make some for shows this weekend - but I want to be sure they taste good first.

Thanks,
Heather

First of all, I made the cookies today and they are good. I didn't want to sell a flop.

Second, if you are making these as layered cookies here is what I learned:

Bottom layer: Flour, salt and baking soda
Next layer: Brown sugar
Next layer: White sugar.
Next layer: Candies ( I used green and red M&M's and mini chocolate chips)

This way there is very liitle leakage down to the last layer. The first few I made look a little sloppy as the flour leaked down in the the M&M's.

The ones I made with above pattern look great. I even separated out the green and red M&M's to make more layers.

Enjoy!

Heather thanks for sharing your experience, I agree, it does work best with the flour on the bottom....
and from experience...the sugar falls through the chocolate chips when you put it over them...lol :goof

Here is another recipe, with printable page for the recipe and the gift tags with baking instructions.

These I have definately tried and are really good :)
You can always use the m&m's and other candies and nuts if you like,

I like your idea of seperating the colors too, :cool1:
my kids would have fun doing that...or doing two batches
one with all green and one with all red :D

Thanks so much for sharing your input

As I have been making these I thought of how nice it would be to keep these made up in the pantry ready to go all the time, would be really quick to mix up a batch and no dragging out all the ingredients :)

The other recipe
has
2 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

I am attaching the other two files for this recipe that you can print out and use.

Hey ladies - thanks for the great ideas. I have a bazaar at the end of the month - and can't wait to do this for my give away!

Thanks again!

I forgot to mention the size. I used Oval 2s. It was a perfect fit. I made one in a round 5 and it was a very tight squeeze.
