Recruiting Tips

Have you ever recommended a great movie or restaurant to a friend or acquaintance? Sharing the Tupperware Opportunity is just as easy...with lots more benefits! Just follow these basic steps:

1. Give Recruiting Messages at the party.

Its important for you to get the word out about the Tupperware Opportunity by including recruiting messages in your parties! (recommend 3-5 times thru out the party)

2. Indentify Recruit Leads.
At the Tupperware Party, you'll meet people who: could benefit from a career in Tupperware (whether they know it or not!). Take notice of those who take interest in your business, they could be a recruit lead! Respond verbally or non-verbally to your recruiting messages that you would like to work with them! These are your recruit leads & you'll want to indentify & talk with two or more at each party!

3. Offer to share the Tupperware Opportunity.
At each party, you'll want to personally invite the Host & Guests to take a closer look at what Tupperware has to offer. This is called giving one to one "recruiting messages" & can be done when you're helping someone with their order. Recruiting messages can also be shared away from parties with people you meet every day!

4. Set a Date for the Interview.
If a person responds positively to your offer, immediately set a time to share the full story of the Tupperware Opportunity. You can conduct the simple interview yourself, or your Manager would be happy to help until you feel comfortable with doing a interview.

5. Conduct the Recruiting Interview.
The Recruiting Interview is a one-to-one meeting with a consultant prospect. Its purpose is to help the person understand the specific, personal benefits of a career as a Tupperware Consultants, so they'll join you in the business.

Since we are a ONLINE unit, if you are doing a interview with a potential new recruit, you can successfully conduct it via phone or email. I find I get BETTER results by doing it via PHONE (for non-locals) or in person for LOCALS.

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would share some of my tips that I personally use when I am recruiting others.

#1) NEVER over-hype the oppty! Some people are leary of those who over-hype any oppty, making it sound too good to be true can scare people off! Always give Straight Facts!

#2) When talking to a possible recruit via phone or in person, always speak clearly, do NOT use Tupperware slang and make sure you sound like you are excited to be talking to them about the Tupperware Business Oppty. Try not to have other distractions going on at the same time in the background ie. kids screaming, hubby yelling etc. The new possible recruit deserves your undivided attention.

#3) Allow the person you are speaking to to ask you questions. During the conversation at several points, make sure you say "Do you have any questions for me?" then go on and answer them.

#4) Make sure you educate yourself about the current New Consultant Specials so you can explain them to the possible new recruit. Let her know about Sign Up charges, Ongoing Charges, the Sure Start Program, the Go Offer Program, New Consultant Orientation Program and so forth.

#5) I like to end my conversations with "I would like for you to think about all of this and you can contact me again if you have any questions for me" and let them know how they can contact you again via email, phone, mail or in person type of contact. Let them know when you are available ie. Your schedule.

#6) After a few days or a week if you do NOT hear back from them, you can initiate contact again to see if they have any questions for you. Never assume they are NOT interested, sometimes they get busy with other things so always follow up with them atleast ONE TIME.

#7) I keep a list of possible recruits, sometimes its just not feasible for them to join right now ie. money committments, family committments and so forth. The next time we run a good NEW consultant Special, I pull my list and initiate contact again with them. This has worked several times for me in getting new recruits! Just because they say NO now, doesnt mean you will get another NO in a few weeks!

# I try to connect with all recruits on a personal level too. I tell them why I joined Tupperware, a little about myself and why Tupperware has worked for me. This gives them a personal connection. I also ask if they have children or if they are married and how Tupperware can work for them around their family obligations and so forth.

#9) ALWAYS be honest when recruiting! Dont lie and say you are making thousands of dollars! Let them know that with ANY business or job, it does take consistent work! Hard Work does pay off! Tupperware is NOT a get rich quick scheme!

#10) After I get a new recruit, I always follow up! I like to email them and let them know I am available to answer questions or to help them get started any way I can! I also like to snail mail them a Thank You card with my personal contact info inside it. I always make myself available at any time to answer any of their questions or to offer help when they need it!

Remember, When you recruit...its also your job to help them get started by answering any questions they have. You just dont sign them up and never contact them again! That makes for BAD business relationships! The more help you offer and the more connection you make with them the better recruit they will be for you!

I also find that buying the Tupperware Recruiting Flyers are GREAT! I include them in with all FREE catalog requests that I send out and with outgoing Tupperware Orders! There are alot of RECRUITING Business Builders that you can purchase to help you with Recruiting! You can find them on the SALES AIDS list.

Remember this, After 3 recruits you can will have the opportunity to be promoted to a Manager....opptys for Managers are Fantastic!

In regards to recruiting here are some things I tell my consultants on my team to do & to keep in mind:

#1) Offer your business oppty to everyone!

#2) Make a habit to mention it several times during a show or party...have a Q&A session about the biz oppty at each party!

#3) Advertise: You must do target advertising! I find I get awesome results if I target those who are already looking for a job or a home business oppty.

Wahm sites are a great place to advertise your biz oppty. Dont forget about advertising in print materials too such as: newspapers, magazines, home business publications and so forth.

#4) I also MARKET MYSELF! I wear a coat pin thru out the winter months that says Ask Me About My Tupperware Business! I also have a window cling on all of our vehicles. I try to get people to come up to me instead of me going up to them. I find it best to let them approach me and ask questions and I always give them a business card (I dont ask for their info) that way they can initiate contact with me again should they desire too. Some people get turned off if we approach them or pressure them so let them initiate the additional contact.

#5) Get educated about your business. You want to prepare yourself for any questions they might have for you. You can practice this with family & friends. There is NOTHING worse than them asking you a question and you say "I really dont know but I will find out for you" Its unprofessional...if you are offering the business oppty you should KNOW the answers so practice this!

#6) Sound confident and smile!

#7) Tell them what attracted YOU to this business oppty and how it has changed your life for the better....they need to hear this so dont over look it!

#8 Dont over hype it. People can see right thru those who OVER HYPE their oppty....it tends to make it seem like a too good to be true deal....so dont over hype it and ALWAYS speak the TRUTH!

#9) Carry info about the oppty with you at all times...if someone says to you while you are out and about do you have more info about this in print? You want to say, yes I do.....and hand it to them. Carry it in your purse, brief case, car etc

Happy Recruiting Everyone!
