There are many things you can do to advertise your business in your community.

I hand out mini catalogs, flyers, my magnetic business cards etc every where I go such as the bank, grocery store, post office, community center, daycare centers, everywhere!

You can also get very inexpensive advertising in: High School Yearbooks, Athletic Sports Programs at Schools, Hang up flyers at Daycare Centers, Paper Placemats at Restaurants and so forth.

You can also donate a product or gift certificate to your local radio station or newstation for their numerous contests in exchange for advertising.

Also during the spring and summer months there are tons of fairs, expos and so forth you can look into getting a booth at one...they are usually inexpensive.

As a new consultant, I recommend you holding a open house and invite your friends, family members, neighbords, co workers etc...hang up flyers all thru out your community.

I ordered my business cards from vistaprint.com they are free, all you have to pay is the shipping. I got 250 business cards for $5.25. I bought my magnets at Wal-Mart and all I do is peel it off and stick the business card to it. Hope that helps.

Maybe I am not looking in the right places for the answer, but I own a Cloth diaper business and I go to Expos and fairs. Is it OK for me to take orders this way? I know some other business do not allow you to take orders this way..

I would think that if you are just taking orders from Catalogs it would be fine :line:
