Here are some neat ideas for Valentines Day. Hope this helps. :c18
THE INVITATIONS
Why not send your Valentine guests an invitation that they can eat? Purchase small heart shaped boxes of assorted chocolates and attach your invitations to the top of the boxes. For a decorative touch, trace the outline of the top of the box and cut a paper doily to match the size; then put your invitation message on slightly smaller heart shapes cut out of colored paper; paste together, and attach to the top of the boxes. You could also put your invitation message on boxes of conversation hearts. Ask your guests to come to the party dressed in red & white and to wear any heart jewelry or accessories that they might have, then you can give a prize out to the guest wearing the most hearts.
THE ARRIVAL
Welcome your guests by giving them each a name card to wear that have hearts and a joke written on it. The jokes make great conversation starters for your guests and the name cards can later be used for a game called “Steal My Heart.” Then for something for your guests to do while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive, you can send them over to a nearby table to guess the number of hearts that are in a jar.
PARTY GAMES & ACTIVITIES
PASS THE HEART
Divide your guests equally into groups of 5 to 10 and have them form straight lines. Give the first person in each line a long Valentine necklace (one that goes down to the waist-a red heart tied onto some yarn works just fine). Give the participants a few minutes to figure out how to pass the necklace to the next person in line using only their head (no hands allowed); then start the game. The first person in line transfers the necklace to the next person using only their head, the process continues until the necklace makes it to the last person in line; once the necklace makes it to the last person they send it back through the line in the reverse order until the first person has the necklace again. The first group to complete the game is the winner. Give the winning team $10,000 in Tupper Bucks and the losing team $5,000 or give them gadgets out of the game bags. Something nicer for the winners like a pastry server and a smidget and give the losers a smidget.
KISS ME QUICK
Hide Hershey Kisses around the room and have your guests race to see who can find the most kisses. This is a great game to have at an Open House.
STEAL MY HEART
This is a fun game to play for when your guests will be seated for a period of time. This is also a great game because it gives your guests a reason to look around to see who else is at the party and keeps everyone socializing. The rules for this game are simple and fun . . . don't cross your legs or you'll have your heart stolen by the first person who notices! Once your heart has been stolen (your name tag) you're out of the game. Those stealing another person's heart must stick or pin the stolen heart onto their clothing. The person who has the most hearts at the end of the party wins. Again, award the winner either Tupper Bucks or a game bag gadget.
GUESS THE NUMBER OF HEARTS
Count out several candy conservation hearts or cinnamon hearts and place them in a Mini-Rectangular Modular Mates 1 and whoever comes the closest to the actual number wins the Tupperware and the candy.
GUESS THE NAME TAG
Create some name tags with words that relate with Valentine's Day. Examples of words are hearts, flowers, red, white, pink, and love. You will then tape this to people's backs. But they cannot look for their names. They must not find out what word is on their tag until the game starts. Everyone goes around the room and gives clues about the “Valentine Word” on their backs. The game continues until everyone finds what his or her tags say. This can be used as an ICEBREAKER since everyone will win. Give $5,000 in Tupper Bucks just for participating.
LOVE IN GAME
Ask the guests if they have ever been to a Love in. Of course the answer will be no. Then say, well tonight we are going to have one. I want you to choose a partner and it can't be your Sister or Mother. Now I'm going to give you a piece of paper that you need to number 1-15. Now turn back to back with that person-now rub your shoulders together. Then ask, “Doesn't that feel good?” Don't turn around and don't look at the person on your back. Now I'm going to ask you 15 questions and you must not cheat.
What color of hair does your partner have?
How many rings does your partner have on?
Does your partner have any jewelry around their neck?
Is your partner wearing shoes or sandals?
Is your partner wearing anything that buttons?
Does your partner have nail polish on?
What basic color is your partner wearing?
How many children does your partner have?
Does your partner have a purse with them?
Is your partner wearing a watch?
Does your partner have on earrings or not?
What color are your partner's eyes?
Is your partner wearing hose, socks, or none?
Does your partner have a part in their hair?
This is the most important one of all-Does the person to your back smile with their teeth in or out? The only way you can find this out is to turn around and smile at each other.
Now let's check out our answers and find out who has the most right?
This is another game that can be played as an ICEBREAKER or use to give out Tupper Bucks or small gadgets.
