View Full Version : About my manager...

I joined Tupperware last year (indirect of any consultant/manager) online and was "assigned" to Susan Pittser. Obviously, I didn't know her from "Adam" and at best, my only perception of her was, "That is the blank face of someone who will reap the benefits of my sales," only! At almost the same time, a friend of mine who lives across the street, joint Tupperware in the same manner as I did and got assigned to another manager with another distributorship who was located... who knows where.

I stopped to have a little chat with my neighbor yesterday at curbside. You know the conversation..., "What do you think about the new principal at school?... How's your garden doing?... Did you attend your distributor's online chat recently to find out what May's offerings will be with Tupperware?" Her answer was... "WHAT online chat? I never hear from my distributor. For that matter, I never hear from my manager! I get all my news from the website!" And what was probably more surprising to hear was, "You mean you actually hear from your manager!?!"

Susan contacted me within 3 days of joining the Tupperware Family - and she hasn't lost contact yet. One of my first "parties" out of the chute was a fundraiser for my son's karate dojo (Woooooo-Weee!). There were all sorts of questions, concerns, dilemmas, obstacles, etc. to confront and overcome, but Susan was with me the whole way -- Sometimes exchanging 20 emails in one day!

Before I got 'warm-and-fuzzy' with her, I would set out searching for information, updates, new arrivals, etc. on the TW website. I would spend countless HOURS searching for the simplest information and get no where very quickly. And just about the time I gave up on my search - here would come an email from Susan which contained all the information I was looking for in the first place. After awhile, you could set your clock by Susan's information email arrivals!

For the past year, I was more convinced that Susan's "attentiveness" to her team was more compelled by Tupperware expectations of their managers. As if it were a required aspect of her job as a manager. But after speaking with my neighbor yesterday, I realized in a flood of awareness, that Susan's management style of her team is all her own! Her almost daily emails, her direct contact, and now Burp-it... all voluntarily devised and provided to us by Susan for no other reason than she cares.

I just wanted to tell everyone how I feel about my manager. I have never had the pleasure to meet with Susan face-to-face, nor have I even spoken to her directly on the phone more than a handful of times. But I know, no matter what the situation, that she is right there for me whenever I need her... and then some! I never realized until yesterday how lucky I am. And I just wanted everyone to know how much a truly appreciate everything that Susan has done for me and this team and of the high regard I have for her management style! :applause:

Since everyone else is raving about Susan I just wanted to brag a little about Laura my manager. Even though I really don't sell alot she has always treated me as if I were her top seller no question has ever went unanswered! She is always there with the info I need. I also just wanted to say that Tupperware has been so much fun!!!
