Universal Symbol

Does anyone have any documentation regarding the cup and fork symbol that can be found on the bottoms of the crystalwave collection and the rocknserve? I was told that this is a universal symbol that is used in other countries to show that it is microwave safe...but I can't seem to find any documentation to back up that claim.

Actually the fork and spoon means that it is dishwasher safe - the wavy lines means it is microwave safe. hth :flo:

I thought the spoon/fork meant you could eat out of it?
