I t looks like I'll be having my Grand Opening in just a few weeks. I was hoping some of you might share you best & worst moments from your own Grand Opening so that us "newbies" can learn from and maybe laugh with your experiences!
Thanks so Much!

Ok, hate to tell this story, but maybe you will get a laugh out of it, or atleast it will let some of you know how to not do things :o)
My first grand opening (mine personally) was more than 12 years ago...there was little contact from the lady doing it, and I forgot all about it...she showed up the day of the party and of course I had no clue as to what was going on.....needless to say not a good start, but it went up from there. :goof
The first one I held for a lady I recruited was the opposite.......good party planning, good contact, etc.....her party held and we did over $900 in sales and she had 2 recruits that night!
My re-grandopening (this year, and hopefully my last) wasn't too bad....there was a little turn out but I did date 2 parties from it....and we all know we can't get anywhere without having parties!........I am hoping this is all a good sign and I can get going like I was years ago.
Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me back to TW, and WELCOME TO ALL OF THOSE WHO RECENTLY JOINED- BEST WISHES TO YOU FOR A WONDERFUL BUSINESS CAREER! :luck:

Ok..I am sure you are sick of hearing from me now :o) I just replied to one of your other posts!
I am sorry to hear you had a bad start......funny how it is the exact opposite of my G.O.
I am happy to hear you didn't just give up (I think if it were me I probably would have) :wtg:
A little update on my business..........Had a party on Saturday night....NO ONE showed....the host was so upset..this was even after making TONS of calls, etc...of course with everyone saying they would be there....she did reschedule, so at least I got that out of it (and she has some outside orders, but we are going to hold off on those until her 'new' party)
I was so upset when I went home I wanted to cry (this was to be my new beginning with TW after taking some time off).......I was depressed and all I could think of was 'what am I thinking I am never going to get this back to where I had it before' (ok, I know I did not have a good outlook)
Well.......at church Sunday morning I had a Sunday School teacher stop me to tell me her friends were upset she ordered TW and did not tell them, SO she is dating 2 parties....one for her personally and one for the Mother's Day Out group......AND a FUNDRAISER (church wide) for the new preschool we are building!!!!!!! Not too bad after the rotten night I had...
LONG story a little shorter........I guess it all works out in the end!
