Transitioning to Full Parties
In preparation for the May 27-28 transition to full parties, you’ll want to make sure of two things in particular:
You have a plan in place for each of your current partial parties
Your future Hosts are effectively party planned
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take care of your existing partials!
By May 27, 2005, all of your partial parties should be submitted so that they’ll keep their partial party status.
For example, "Suzie" makes sure that all her current partial parties have been submitted by the deadline, May 27. Because they have been submitted, they will keep their “partial party” status and she will have 14 days to complete them.
Let’s assume she submits one of these partial parties on May 27. She’ll need to complete it by June 10, so she plans to have all of her orders in by June 8 to give herself some extra time.
She calls her Host: “Hi, Lorraine, this is Suzie, your Tupperware Consultant. I was just calling to find out how you’re doing! We need to complete your party by June 8, and I just wanted to make sure you have everything you need. Are you still collecting outside orders?”
Remember, a sense of urgency can be a great help in completing a party. It adds a sense of excitement that often results in larger orders. People often can get more done in less time when they have a sense of urgency... because urgency creates action!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Plan with your Hosts carefully to make your full parties fly!
When she plans her full parties, Suzie uses ideas and tools like these:
She and her Host party plan using the Tic Tac Tupper activity, which can be found at the end of the PowerPoint presentation under myOffice > What's New in Sales Support > Training to a 2-Hour Party (PowerPoint). Tic Tac Tupper is a great way to give Hosts goals and activities to help reach their goals sooner.
Suzie gives her Host clear goals and ideas for reaching those goals, such as
“To reach your goal, Leslie, you need to bring 3 outside orders to the party and have at least 5 guests.”
“When you go to your son’s soccer game tomorrow night, why not bring a few catalogs and some order forms?”
At the end of each party, Suzie helps her Host determine who to call for additional orders. She may suggest, “As I’m packing up, would you like to call them now so we can immediately order your Host gifts?”
Suzie may also establish what the Host would like to order if she doesn’t get additional orders: “Let’s sit down and order Host gifts as the party stands right now… just in case something happens and you don’t get a chance to collect those orders.”
