The fundraiser I am holding is going to have a couple people in my state selling and then a few out of my state with all of the profits going to the foundation.
How would this work? Would they need to apply their state tax or mine? and how would the shipping go? Would each person be like a separate fundraiser?
Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks!

Heidi:
The way I look at it - the "orders" are going to be received by the fundraiser entity at their location, no matter where the orders originate (locally or out of state). In other words, if an order comes from "out-of-state", it will nevertheless come to YOU for submission and processing and will be delivered to YOU as well. Assuming the fundraiser entity is located near you - use your local sales tax rate on all orders.
Since TW no longer ships individual orders on fundraisers (everything is shipped to either you or the fundraiser entity), YOU are going to have to figure out and charge appropriate shipping costs for orders received out-of-state that you will fulfill once the total fundraiser order is received from Tupperware. You can do yourself a favor and just utilize TW's stated shipping prices (on normal orders) as your own (% of sale). Or, you can be more fair and check out actual shipping rates (by weight) and charge your out of state orders that way (which may prove to be difficult not knowing actual weight of TW products).
Lastly, I hope you are considering the possible disadvantages for your fundraiser to accept out of state (personal) checks as payments for their orders. Your fundraiser is now responsible for collecting their funds from NSF checks. Not to mention their bank may put checks on hold for a certain period of time if they are not checks drawn on a local (or nationally recognized) bank.
It may not be a concern - but at least something to consider. If you would like some alternative payment ideas for out of town orders - drop me a line!
:luck:
