I search and search and found something that works!! for those tupperware containers that stain!! Try spraying a non-stick spray in your container before putting any tomato sauce or other sauces that might stain.Or perhaps if already stain try putting in something grease like choc. chip cookies, or try cascade plastic boost! :yessmiley

I had a customer contact me because fruit stained the seal on her brand new bowl. She was insistant that I had to replace the seal. I advised her to try the Plastic Boost before I would replace it for her. (she is a good customer and I would have swapped her stained lid for one of my own just to make her happy) Weeks went by before I saw her again. When I asked about the seal, she told me that the Plastic Boost returned her bowl to its original color. Now she loves Plastic Boost just as much as she loves her Tupperware!

That's awsome!! As well I had a customer put watermelon in her Thasta bowl and it stanied! So she tried washing it out and it didnit work. But then the next week later she made chocolate chip cookies and put them in her stained Thasta bowl. After a day or so oil from the cookies had taken out her stained!

Crazy! :wash:

Put your stained Tupperware out in the sun. The UV rays should fade the stain.
If you have a pool or spa..throw the stained Tupperware in! The chlorine bleaches the plastic (just give it a good wash after!)

it's a concentrated industrial strength cleaner/degreaser, cost about $1/ $1.50(made by clean rite). you can get it at swap meets, auto parts store, walmart, dollar store. it's great for cleaning just about anything.

Hi all! All of the ideas you gave are great. I absolutely love plastic booster! For those who don't have a dishwasher, here's the trick I give my customers (my family has been in the Tupper biz for almost 40 years) it works every time!

Make a paste of baking soda and water. Coat the Tupperware container with the paste and let stand overnight. Using a wet cloth and cold water, rub the dried paste around on the Tupperware’s surface (the dried paste works like a scrub). Rinse and wash with soap and warm water. This should take out the stain. May need to repeat for deeply set stains.

But the best thing to do is teach your customers how to keep their Tupperware from getting stained in the first place! The reason Tupperware stains is that most people tend to take a dirty or greasy bowl and immediately wash it in hot water. Guess what folks! Just like clothing, hot water sets the stain. The trick is to rinse the bowls in cold water first then put them in dishwasher or wash in hot water. The cold water keeps the stain from setting and the Tupperware will always look as perfect as the day it was purchased!

Hope this helps!

I had a customer call that has used masking tape on her modular mates to label them. She wants to know what is the best way to get the tape and the sticky residue off without ruining her Tupperware. Any hints or tips out there?
Also, if she prints out her own MM labels with Tupperware's WORD program will those come off okay or will she have a problem with those in the future also.

There are several products that can be used for removing label goo. I use De-Solv-it Sticky Stuff Remover by Ross as well as Goo Gone, by Magic American Company. One thing I would recommend though, after using this stuff to remove the goop, wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol. It immediately neutralizes the goop remover, which is nasty smelling stuff. Then you can wash your container with soap and water.

This stuff is safe for your Tupperware, you can even use it to get bubble gum out of your child's hair! Just don't use it straight on carpeting, it can loosen the carpet from it's backing.

This can be bought at home improvement-type places.

Using Eucalyptus oil works for me...it's great at dissolving glue residue from sticky tape.

Another stain hint: to prevent stains, spray the container (or seal) with an oil spray (just a quick blast will do). The oil acts as a barrier and the stain can't penetrate the plastic.
