Here is another version of a "Dump Cake." This recipe comes from my Home-Ec class from high school (waaaaaay back when):

Pumpkin Dump Cake

3 Eggs (large), beaten
1 30oz Can of Pumpkin Pie Mix (This is not plain cooked pumpkin. It will say "PP Mix" on the can.)
1/2 Can (6 oz) Evap. Milk (Susan's Milnot)
1 Pkg. Yellow cake mix *
1/2 C. Pecans, (chopped)
1 Stick (1/2 c.) melted butter or margerine

After beating eggs, add can of pumpkin pie mix and blend together. Pour batter into a prepared (cooking spray coated) 13x9 inch pan (suitable for ovens).

Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pumpkin mixture. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the cake mix. Drizzle melted butter/margarine evenly over the cake mix.

Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 1 hour, until ages are lightly browned. This may take longer dependant upon your oven.

Serve warm or cooled with whipped topping.

* I have had some friends use a Spice Cake mix instead of the Yellow cake mix to give it added *zing*. I have not tried this personally, but can only imagine it to be a yummy alternative!
