2 cups margarine or butter
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
7 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Cream margarine & sugar together. Add eggs & vanilla.
Mix in separate bowl: flour, baking powder and salt. Add to liquid mixture.
Chill, covered, 1 hour. Roll out on floured surface, about 1/4" thick (thinner if prefer crispier cookies). Bake on Silicone baking mat on top of cookie sheets at 350°F for 8 minutes. Cool.
FROSTING
6 Tablespoons butter or margarine. Add gradually 1 lb. sifted powdered sugar. Add milk little by little to get desired consistency Add 1 1/2 tsp vanilla. You can add food coloring to make colored frosting.
Store in airtight container.
