I am singing this to the veggietales sone "pirates who don't do anything". lol

I have 5 recruits, one truly lives up to our team name RISING STARS. now, 2 of these team members, grrrr, lie about having parties, and forge their reports. I have to actually get into their system to see if they truly have sales. One lied about having a $700 party! I looked on their system after team sales thru DIQ looked meager. The party was only 181.00. What to do?????????

:pullhair:

And please don't get me wrong. I truly love these people. They have become wonderful friends. But the lying must stop if they wish to go anywhere in this business. I want them to excell to prove to themselves they need not lie.

Hello

Maybe these recruits need some more indepth training followed up with motivation to succeed. Or perhaps they are only doing tupperware to make some extra play money and not as a career or full time job.

We need to remember that everyone joins for a different reason. Some to buy wholesale for themselves, some to make extra play money, some full time, some part time, some as a new career and some are only seasonal consultants.

I would recommend asking them what their plans are for this business and work up a business plan to help them succeed and to achieve their business goals which might be different then your business goals.

I understand that part, and have sat down with all my recruits to make a business plan. These 2 in particular have said they would like to go further in the business (in short). but why lie about sales and having parties?

I lied to my manager once about the amount of the party. But honestly, it wasn't my fault! My host told me she had over $500 in orders, and when we finialized her party it was half of that! No clue where she got her amount, but I felt so bad for getting my managers hopes up...and mine too.

I agree about asking them how much they want to do and tell them if they only want to hold a party occasionally, or just sell to friends and family, to make sure they tell you that. So you're not expecting more out of them. And maybe give more of your attention to other recruits who wish to suceed further.

But I agree again, it's sad they lie to you!

I have 12 team members - all inactive. No matter what I do to get them going - nothing works.

I don't know if I am doing it all wrong, or just recruited the wrong people.

It makes me sad, but what can you do?

I knew I wasn't alone - but sometimes it feels like you are alone! I have 5 recruits - all of them are inactive. Everytime I talk with them I get "oh, yes I am going to have a party or have so much in sales" or something like that. I get so frustrated with them. I am working on recruiting more - but I feel that I am doing something wrong. I even made a day where I went to each one of their houses and sat down with them to see what they wanted from Tupperware and all but one said they wanted to make money and move up in the Tupperware ladder. One just told me that she didn't want to do it anymore - at least she was honest and didn't string me along! My Director tells me not to look back - just keep moving forward. Sometimes it's hard when you think you have failed. Like she said it only takes one to want it all and go for it. So that is what I am looking for. And with the $50 kit who wouldn't want it?

NOW i feel better. I really do feel like I am alone in this sometimes! :rain

I feel blessed to have 2 what I call quality recruits. the ones who have actually listened to my story and felt what I mean when I say Tupperware has changed my life. I am still staying strong and looking for people like me to recruit. Keep setting goals and don't depend on other people to put you into you next goal. Not meant pessimistically, but true. You made it this far, you can do it again. :co1

Lying won't get you there.

:rain I hope I don't offend anyone, as I know we all have good intentions...my best advice is to back off! I've been on the receiving end of the "what do you want from TW?" and "how many parties/how much in sales" phone calls, on a regular basis. If only some of the managers/directors/distributors would realize that we all join TW for different reasons, and not everyone aspires to become #1 in the world! I know these "pep talk" calls are supposed to inspire us to do more and make the most of our business, but for some of us, they have the exact opposite effect. When you tell your manager that you don't dream of becoming a manager or director, and you tell you manager that you don't have parties lined up from now to eternity, you often times get harassed even more, making it even harder to get motivated and excited about the business. I really don't want to hear about how many parties Susie has lined up, or how I just need to spend an extra hour a week on the phone begging people to date parties. I joined TW to make myself happy, and to run my business on my terms, and I really don't need a manager making me feel inadequate because I don't have the same goals as he or she does. :pullhair:

You let it be know what you wanted, and did a good job by saying the truth. It is your managers/distributors fault for bullying you. It shouldn't happen. If you would change your mind, you'll let them know. :con

I want to explain from the CONSULTANTS side.. I work full Time - Started tupperware because I can make my own schedule.. i can decide if I want to fight for parties or not.. MY long terms goal is to make this part time and work part time... That is the whole thing.. I love doing it (so far) and thankfully my manager does not harass me.. but I have seen directors and managers pushing and pushing.. I am WORKING FOR MYSELF.. not anyone else.. I personally do not care if you (and no offense to anyone, i don't mean this in a harsh way) if you need to make the team sales for the month to get your extra income..
I work for myself.. If i know i need extra money for me, I will go the extra mile.

Sorry if this maybe offends anyone, that is not my intention at ALL. Just want you to understand where "we" mmight be standing :thanks2

I know that things come along in peoples lives and there are times when some of us can work our business and other times when we can't that is one thing that is so great about Tupperware and Why So many are interested in Joining and working with this business,
it's there when you have time for it and need that extra income, and a Very Flexible Job to work around your life.

I know if I were being pressured to do certain things
I wouldn't like that feeling at all, that to me does the opposite it would make me not want to do things,

I think if you just help your consultants when they need it and
don't ever pressure them it all works out better,

If I think I am trying to reach a goal for myself I try to find a way that I can myself get more to work to accomplish that goal and not try to have your team,

to me that will drive your members away

If they are close to a goal its nice to let them know for their own benefit, I hate to see someone close to a prize or bonus and miss it by a few dollars, so just keep them informed on what is in this business for them :)

If they have goals they are wanting to achieve help them to know how and what they need to do to go about it but never pressure them,

I have been truly blessed with an awesome team and been able to make so many new friendships, I just love Tupperware!

Good Luck to all in their Tupperware businesses!!!
